Our company has really benefited from the ability of the engineers to coax hidden talents from the team members. Roger Oldfield, JW Northend
The 14-day programme, spread out over several months, includes a consultation day, a management awareness day, three days of intense diagnostic and a further one day visit to complete the groundwork. Next comes the five-day practical workshop, run by two of our engineers, who will coach your team in using Best Practice tools and techniques.
These tools and techniques, taught in a hands-on approach, include:
- Practical shop floor work, from creating visual management guides to cleaning and fixing equipment in ViP's core '5C' process. The '5C' process is the bedrock of any Masterclass programme, providing a fresh approach to tackling the working environment.
- Recognising the key wastes and understanding waste analysis
- Standardising operations to ensure consistency and sustainability. This also forms a stable base upon which to build agreed improvements.
- Creating structured techniques to solve a problem revolving around a Plan, Do Check, Act process.
- Gathering productivity statistics and identifying Key Performance Indictors to measure progress.
During the programme your staff will be directed for approximately 70% of the time, with the rest spent putting their skills into practice on their own project work.
The programme includes 3 follow up days, which helps ensure your team remains focussed on sustainable improvement. The follow-up days also include the transfer of ownership of the improvement programme to 'champions' within your company.
