ViP Best Practice Club - Visit to Mazak in Worcester, 17 January 2008
The ViP Best Practice Club was set up to give UK printers the opportunity to see how other industries are using and benefiting from deploying Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing techniques and tools in an advanced way and to provide inspiration and benchmarks for their own process improvement journeys.
Other manufacturing industries are typically more advanced in their use of these techniques, in part because they have been working on them for more years. Our best Practice Club visits allow print and packaging companies to see for themselves how worthwhile it is to make the effort to gain and sustain lean practices, both in terms of bottom line performance and involvement and motivation of the whole workforce. Participants on previous Best Practice Clubs have certainly found the visits useful and enlightening.
