Better Margins - 21 June (Reading), 23 June (Birmingham), 29 June (Wakefield)

In 2009,Vision in Print ran a series of three regional 'Cash and Cost Reduction' seminars. Their purpose was to assist printers prepare for the pressures of the recession, by addressing topics such as effective cash management, operational efficiencies, reducing staff costs, finding funding. They were very popular and we had had frequent requests to run them again, albeit with updated topics.

So we are. This year they are called "Better Margins" and timed to help with the dreadful trading conditions that hilariously pass as 'the UK economic recovery'.

What will the seminars cover?

Material Waste Reduction
  • How material waste impacts profit
  • Calculating your own lost opportunity with the ViP waste value calculator
  • Tackling waste reduction at each stage in production including root cause analysis
  • Promoting waste reduction to your workforce

  • Setting up your shop floor data collection and MIS to best effect
  • Analysing key measures - availability, performance, quality using the ViP OEE calculator

    Gaining a Lean Workflow

Managing directors or Chief executives, Operations or Production Directors/Managers, IT or System Directors/Managers, Commercial or Customer Service Directors/Managers, Continuous Improvement or Lean Champions/Managers

Being a ViP event, there will be a fair amount of audience participation, as you know we believe in 'learning by doing'. For all three topics, our presentations will be rounded off by a case study to demonstrate this is not just idle talk but can be implemented for real.
